About Our Practice

What We Stand For

We exist to give San Antonio pets personalized, thoughtful veterinary care and to treat every animal who walks through our doors as if they were our own.

Where We're Headed

We're working to remain the neighborhood practice families trust for the life of their pets, pairing a small-practice feel with modern diagnostics and same-day access to care.

How We Care For Your Pet

Every visit starts with listening to you and getting to know your pet. We keep wait times short, explain your options clearly, and use our in-house lab, digital radiology, and ultrasound so decisions can be made quickly. Excellent medicine should also be affordable, and we work to keep it that way.

About Our Team

Our team is led by Dr. Tracy Tommack, who founded Traveling Tails and has practiced in San Antonio for over 25 years with a special interest in internal medicine, general surgery, and behavior counseling. She is joined by Dr. Alex Bischoff, a Virginia Tech graduate focused on dentistry, surgery, and general medicine. Together with our support staff, they bring a personable, unhurried approach to every appointment, so you and your pet always know what to expect.
